HoF - Hand of Fate

Development Video 01

22 Jan 2010 13:45

Here are some first impressions of in-Game GFX. The video shows a dungeon with two tilemaps (floor, wall) and several sprites using a spritesheet for torches, doors, etc. For demonstration and performance test purposes I use a continuos rotate / zoom action for the whole scene. Game runs smoothly (around 50 FPS) without optimizations (clipping) on an iPhone 3GS. First-gen iPhone/iPod touch will also be supported. I hope to keep FPS above 30 for these devices. Watch and enjoy ;)

Silent but busy

27 Oct 2009 17:49

A lot has happened since the last news entry was posted. To make it short: We were silent but busily working on Hand of Fate. A huge amount of mockups has been completed - over 100 screens, object models have been designed, use cases were written. Cocos 2d also evolved again quite a bit and we can't wait to get our hands onto the latest build. In the meanwhile I have been working on a "little" project that consumed some 200 hours of work already - Wasiko. Stay tuned, there will be news shortly. A note for the rest of the team (excluding Robert and me): I hope you still are committed to the project. Please drop me a mail if anything changed or you have different plans now as I have to prepare a milestone plan in the next weeks.

Best,
Markus
